Western Egg Bake
The perfect recipe to make ahead, then bake and serve for brunch the next day. Marzetti Large Cut Garlic & Onion Croutons are soaked in hot milk, then mixed with eggs, sharp cheddar cheese, peppers, scallions and bacon. Yum!

Cook Time: 30-35 minutes

Marzetti Ingredients
Marzetti1 5 oz package Marzetti's® Large Cut Garlic & Butter Croutons
Other Ingredients
2 1/2 cups Milk, hot
6 large Eggs, beaten
2 cups Grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup each Diced red and green bell peppers
1/2 cup Chopped scallions
1/2 cup Cooked crumbled bacon
1/4 teaspoon Ground black pepper and salt
Preparation:
Butter a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish (oven proof glass (Pyrex) or non-reactive baking pan). Combine hot milk and croutons in a large mixing bowl and let croutons soak for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and mix to combine. Pour mixture into prepared pan. Cover and refrigerate for one hour or overnight. (If casserole has been refrigerated overnight, remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.) Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until set.
